Thula Thula private Game Reserve is a 4500 ha Wildlife Sanctuary dedicated to the conservation, protection and survival of endangered species.
Situated in Zululand, only 2 hours from Durban, and one hour from Richards Bay, Thula Thula is a luxury safari destination where game rangers will share their incredible knowledge of the bush during exciting game drives while you observe elephant, rhino, buffalo, hippo, hyena, leopard and much more, including over 350 bird species.

Thula Thula is run by Francoise who carries on the legacy of her late husband Lawrence Anthony with the conservation projects and the running of both lodges, with her team of 60 employees.
Francoise has written An Elephant in My Kitchen, the sequel to The Elephant Whisperer, published in July 2018 and already an international bestseller.
Thula Thula launched the Volunteers Academy in May 2018, offering local and international volunteers an opportunity to get involved in nature and wildlife conservation. The expansion of Thula Thula for the elephant habitat with a further 3500 ha is a community project run by the Thula Thula non-profit organisation The South African Conservation Trust.
